On August 21, 2026, OGame opened a wave of new servers under a limited-time event called the Season of Exploration — the first universe running it is named Veritate. Unlike a normal universe launch, a season server layers a separate achievement track on top of the regular game, with rewards you keep forever, on every server you play.
What is the Season of Exploration?
It's a themed 12-week event tied to a newly opened universe. While the universe itself plays exactly like any other OGame server (same buildings, fleet, research, Lifeforms), logging in on Veritate during the season unlocks a second, parallel set of seasonal achievements that don't exist on older servers. Complete them before the season ends and the rewards are yours permanently — they don't disappear when the season closes.
The seasonal achievement tiers
Season of Exploration achievements are grouped into four tracks, each with five escalating tiers:
- Login streak — log in on the season server on 1, 7, 14, 21, and 28 different days.
- Highscore points — reach 100,000 / 500,000 / 1,000,000 / 10,000,000 / 25,000,000 points.
- Expeditions completed — send and complete 100 / 250 / 500 / 1,000 / 2,500 expeditions.
- Resources found on expeditions — bring back 5,000,000 / 50,000,000 / 500,000,000 / 1,000,000,000 / 5,000,000,000 metal, crystal, or deuterium combined.
Notice that two of the four tracks are entirely about expeditions — this season rewards players who fly a lot of them, not just players who grow the biggest fleet.
What you actually get
Rewards include exclusive avatars, planet skins, titles, and achievement points toward your account-wide achievement score. The important part: everything you unlock on the season server is account-bound, not server-bound — once earned, you can use that avatar or planet skin on any universe you play, including ones you join years later. Each achievement also adds 100 points to your total achievement score, the same as a standard (non-seasonal) achievement.
How long does the season run?
Seasonal achievements stay unlockable for 12 weeks from the August 21, 2026 launch — roughly until mid-November 2026. After that, Veritate keeps running as a completely normal, permanent universe; you just can no longer complete the seasonal-specific achievements on it. Regular (non-seasonal) achievements remain available forever, same as any other server.
Planning your expedition tiers
Because two full achievement tracks are expedition-based, it's worth planning your expedition slots and fleet size before the season clock runs out rather than scrambling near the deadline. Our Expedition Calculator lets you plug in your current fleet and research levels to see how many expeditions you can realistically run per day, your expected cargo return per trip, and roughly how many weeks it'll take to hit the 1,000 or 2,500-expedition tiers at your current pace.
Should a new player start on a season universe?
Season servers are a genuinely good entry point for new players: everyone starts at zero on the same day, so there's no multi-year veteran gap to close, and the seasonal achievements give new accounts a concrete, guided list of early goals instead of an open-ended "figure it out yourself" start.
